welcome to my new website

Hello all,
I've decided to abandon the old blog and start from scratch - I've enjoyed the format so far, but the previous design proved to be a bit limiting. It was just one singular feed so every post was in relation to the one before. Therefore I never felt comfortable with sharing boring information.By introducing categories I hope to share more freely without losing coherence.The redesign is loosely inspired by the following websites/blogs:

https://n0thanky0u.neocities.org/I was researching new static site builders as well but didn't find one which is more suitable to non-programmers like me than carrd. I also didn't find any newsletter service which satisfies my need for high simplicity. This means there is no rss feed and I will send out the emails manually.You can also follow me on bluesky @plau.meI'm pretty excited about this new social media platform. Legally it is a public benefit LLC, which means it's somewhere between a company and a non profit organisation as far as I understand. It seems pretty noble and well designed, you can read more about them here (this links to their own blog / grain of salt reccomended)In the coming days (weeks) I'll try to add some recent posts which haven't ended up online yet. Now I'll sleep.

Around 2am I heard screams outside, so I opened the window. The streets were empty and the screams subsided. The air was cold and clear and the stars were shining with a surprising brightness - it didn’t look like a city sky to me. In order to get a better view I leaned out of my 4th story window and awkwardly turned my body around. Before finishing the movement I saw a shooting star coming down as a streak of fiery white. It’s inaudible whizzing, burning sound quietly separated the airy silence.

As I'm currently working on an acoustic research project about the bike messenger subculture, I’ve spent the last few days skidding my fixie around town and recording it with binaural microphones.
The sound of tires on bare asphalt, rubble or a crackling sheet of ice, it’s a joy to listen to these files. To me, cycling is a purely creative act. Especially between deliveries on snowy days, you’d have to threaten my life in order to get my attention.
